I’ve already entered my 7th week of studying at the CIJ language school in Liloan, Cebu, Philippines.

When I first enrolled, I chose the regular speaking course.

But since I came all the way here, I wanted to challenge myself, so I paid extra and changed to the Sparta course.

The Sparta course starts with a vocabulary test at 6:30 a.m., followed by a one-hour class with a native teacher, three hours of group classes, and five hours of one-on-one classes.

After dinner, we study on our own for one hour, then take a phrasal verb sentence-making test. The daily schedule finishes at 8:30 p.m.

At first, it was really hard, but now I’ve gotten used to it and even started to enjoy it.

My goal in learning English is to express my thoughts freely and correctly.

I still have a long way to go, but with the help of the teachers at the CIJ Academy, I just try my best every day.
