Tomorrow, April 9, is a public holiday in the Philippines. April 9 is Day of Valor in the Philippines.
It honors the bravery of Filipino and American soldiers during World War II, especially those who suffered in the Bataan Death March.
Maybe that’s why I feel more peaceful than usual today.
It’s already my 6th week here at CJI Language School in Liloan.
I’m in the Sparta course, so my day starts with a vocabulary test at 6:30 a.m. and ends with a phrasal verb sentence test at 8:30 p.m.
Even though my schedule is full, my daily life feels very peaceful.
I don’t worry about cleaning, laundry, or cooking— the school takes care of everything.
For now, I don’t want to go back to my usual life in Korea.
