A Weekend in Camotes

For my second weekend in Cebu, I had an amazing trip to Camotes Islands. It was a wonderful experience filled with adventure, delicious food, and beautiful scenery.

Our first stop was San Francisco Market, where we had a local meal. The market was lively and full of people, making it a great place to experience the local culture. The food was simple but delicious, giving us a true taste of the island’s flavors.

After lunch, we explored two caves—Paraiso Cave and Timubo Cave. Paraiso Cave was small but had clear, refreshing water. The entrance fee was a bit expensive, but it was still a nice place to visit. On the other hand, Timubo Cave was much bigger and more impressive. Walking through the cave and swimming in the underground pool was an unforgettable experience.

To end the day, we visited Santiago White Beach. The beach was breathtaking, with soft white sand and clear blue water. We simply sat, relaxed, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We also had fried squid and mango shakes while watching the sunset.

It was a perfect weekend getaway, and I’ll always remember the beauty of Camotes Islands.
